Switching Teams¶
Latency Lab supports all 32 NHL teams. Each team runs its own relay server with unique branding, so the app experience changes depending on which team you're connected to.
How It Works¶
Your token determines which team you're connected to. When you enter a token, the app automatically updates everything to match that team:
- Colors shift to the team's official palette
- Logos update throughout the interface
- Team name appears in headers and labels
- Server connection routes to that team's relay
You don't need to change any settings manually. The app reads your token and handles the rest.
Connecting to a Team¶
- Get a token from the team's Discord server administrator
- Open Latency Lab
- Enter the token when prompted
- The app connects and themes itself to your team
First time?
If you haven't joined a team's Discord server yet, find the server for your favorite NHL team and request relay access from an admin. They'll send you a token via DM.
Switching to a Different Team¶
To switch from one team to another:
- Get a new token from the other team's administrator
- Long-press the team tile in the app
- Select Replace Token
- Enter the new token
The app will reconnect and re-theme itself for the new team immediately.
Managing Multiple Teams¶
You can save tokens for multiple teams and switch between them quickly. This is useful if you follow more than one NHL team or scout for multiple communities.
- Add a team: Enter a new token from a different team's administrator
- Switch teams: Tap the team tile you want to connect to
- Remove a team: Long-press the team tile and select Remove
Note
Each token is tied to a specific team. You cannot use an Avalanche token to connect to the Bruins server, for example.
Token Basics¶
- Tokens are issued by team administrators through Discord
- Each token is valid for 24 hours
- When your token expires, request a new one from your team's admin
- Tokens carry your role and permissions (Scout, Full Member, etc.)
Keep your token private
Your token is tied to your identity and access level. Don't share it with others. If you think your token has been compromised, ask your administrator to issue a new one.
